We’re still not sure why this all-British world title fight is taking place in Saudi Arabia, or why it’s being tucked away on a pay-per-view channel on a Friday night. Regardless, Season One of the World Boxing Super Series comes to a prolonged conclusion tonight with the super-middleweight final between George Groves and Callum Smith.
The action is being broadcast by ITV Box Office in the UK, and coverage starts at 6pm (UK Time). Coverage in the United States is being streamed on DAZN, starting at 1pm (ET).
Callum Smith is a slight underdog going in although he hasn’t lost in 24 fights and has won almost all of them pretty comfortably. The Liverpool man is yet to face someone with the proven quality of George Groves, though, and it makes for an intriguing clash.
Chris Eubank Jr returns on the near-terrible undercard, in a 10 rounder against JJ McDonagh. There’s little else on the bill of note, so we’ve no idea how ITV are gonna fill time before the main event.
