It has today been confirmed by both Matchroom and Sky Sports that Dillian Whyte and Dereck Chisora are set to reignite their feud, with a rematch between the pair scheduled for the 22nd of December at the O2 Arena in London.
The fight will be shown live on Sky Sports Box Office.

The pair initially faced off in Manchester two years ago after a frenetic and bad-tempered promotional build-up that saw blows, glasses of water and tables thrown. When it came to the licensed bout it was Whyte that emerged victorious, eking out a split decision victory over his rival after one of the most enthralling heavyweight contests in recent years.

“The Body Snatcher” has subsequently put together a succession of wins that has him within touching distance of an opportunity of fighting for a world championship, with a brutal knockout of Lucas Browne and a unanimous verdict against former WBO belt-holder Joseph Parker in his last two fights catching the eye in particular.
Chisora’s trajectory has been comparatively inconsistent, with the Finchley man picking up a loss in a drab display against Agit Kabayel when competing for the EBU title in Monte Carlo a year after his setback versus Whyte. He turned back the clock this past July however, coming from behind to stop Carlos Takam with an enormous right hand on the Whyte-Parker undercard, reviving interest in a return bout with his rival in the process.
Now managed by former foe David Haye, Chisora will be looking to put a halt to Whyte’s momentum, as a win for the Jamaican native would put him in prime position to have the opportunity to avenge a loss of his own, with a rematch against Anthony Joshua heavily mooted for April.
