It’s been a bad few weeks for middleweight titlist Billy Joe Saunders, with reports now coming out that he’s failed a VADA drugs test for Oxilofrine (a stimulant).
The controversial Brit was due to face Demetrius Andrade in Canada on October 20, although that now appears to be in doubt following the news.
Update – Journalist Ron Lewis has provided the following update:
Billy Joe Saunders has tested positive for oxilofrine. However, the stimulant is only banned in-competition. And in-competition tests in Britain are considered to be on the day of the fight. So he is unlikely to face a sanction #boxing
