Oscar Valdez and Shakur Stevenson have seemed destined to collide with one another for some time now. Although WBC Super Featherweight Champion Valdez is more proven at this point in his career, WBO Champion Shakur Stevenson has opened up as the betting favorite. Both are undefeated and in their prime, making for an exciting unification bout – so we asked our forum members to predict the outcome.

Love Valdez and he surprised me against Berchelt. I think Shakur will be too slick for him. Hope he shocks me again.

I’m a big Valdez fan. Seen him live 3 times, followed his career closely. But I think this is Shakur’s coming out party. The blend of styles and physical traits have me thinking Shakur makes him miss and pay early, then walks him down late.

Shakur UD. Very comfortable and hurts Valdez a few times but never quite enough to finish him off.

Herring was made for Stevenson – slow feet and upright it was easy work. Valdez is a totally different ball game – he’s small and explosive and will be very hard to be slick against. I see this as very close, exchanges going for either and a close disputed decision either way; I will go for Shakur.
