Manny Pacquiao was impressive in his 7th round destruction of Lucas Matthysse in July. Now, the Filipino legend has claimed that he is still yet to receive money for the bout from US broadcast rights.
The welterweight had an unamicable split from long-time promoter Top Rank earlier this year, although the situation was complicated by Bob Arum’s outfit maintaining television and streaming rights for the fight in Malaysia which aired on ESPN+.
The news could scupper plans for the likes of Amir Khan and Kell Brook, who were hoping to tempt Pacquiao to fights in Britain in the near future.
Update: Bob Arum and Top Rank say the issue is being handled and they expect it to be resolved soon. [Source: ESPN]
