Warrington v Frampton confirmed for Dec 22

British boxing has added yet another pay-per-view event to the already rammed end of year calendar, with the featherweight title fight between IBF champion Josh Warrington and Carl Frampton now confirmed to take place on 22nd December in Manchester.

The fight has been touted for a while now but it’s nice to have final confirmation on the much-anticipated clash.

The Christmas show from the Manchester Arena will air on BT Sport Box Office and will become at least the 5th PPV card in the UK in just over 4 months.  Considering they were generally only paying extra fees for one or two big fights a year before, the next few months are set to be a wallet inspecting period for boxing fans in Britain.
