It feels like this announcement has been overdue for a while with the date just 8 weeks away, but it looks like we’re finally all signed up for Canelo Alvarez v Billy Joe Saunders on May 2nd.
ESPN are now reporting that the fight is to be formally announced within the next 24 hours.
It’s a great matchup and one we’re really excited for.
Alongside the already announced Dillian Whyte v Alexander Povetkin and Josh Taylor v Apinun Khongsong cards in Manchester and Glasgow respectively, this year’s Cinco de Mayo weekend is looking an excellent night of boxing.
